BMS/DDC HVAC Controls Technician, Entry Level

Holaday-Parks, Inc. is seeking an entry level BMS/DDC HVAC Controls Technician to join our Building Automation Group in the Tri-Cities, WA area.

Job Description

·        Assist with checkout, start-up, and testing of DDC systems, with particular emphasis in the Data Center industry.

·        Communicate with and provide daily updates and status reports to both the Project Lead(s) and Project Manager.

·        Provide feedback to the Project Design Team and BMS Panel Construction Team with the intent to improve the design and panel build process(es).

·        Assist with the creation and implementation of graphical user interfaces, including control panel touchscreen displays.

·        Document project status and participate in the creation and accuracy of close-out documents.

·        Learn the policies and procedures of the Data Center MOP and CM process(es).

·        Participate in the tracking of materials and subsequent coordination of delivery and transfer to subcontractors.

·        Assist in the periodic maintenance and service of existing controls systems.

·        Provide assistance during HVAC BMS system commissioning.

·        Travel will be required.

Career Path

The Building Automation Technician position is an entry level position with a path to project lead and BMS programmer positions.

Qualifications

The preferred candidate will have an understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, with troubleshooting and analytical skills. A strong understanding of computer operating systems and computer networks are beneficial. Working knowledge of MS Word & Excel required. Some exposure to BMS/DDC systems a plus. CAD experience preferred but not required.

BMS/DDC Technician

·        Assist in system commissioning, including H2C, cutover, and IST processes.

·        Proven experience with BACnet and Modbus protocols.

·        Experience integrating third party devices and software.

·        Travel will be required.

Career Path

The Controls Project Technician position is a mid-level position with a path to project management and operations.

Qualifications

The preferred candidate will have five years of experience in programming, starting, and testing of building controls on the Tridium AX platform. The candidate shall have a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems. A minimum of five years of experience installing building automation systems. Strong understanding of computer operating systems and computer networks. Working knowledge of MS Project required. CAD experience preferred but not required.

·        Distech, Schnieder, or Siemens Certification a plus

Purchasing Agent

Holaday-Parks, Inc. is seeking a Purchasing Agent to join our team in Tukwila, WA.

Job Description

Holaday-Parks’ Purchasing Agents are responsible for the successful procurement of construction materials and equipment used in the installation of commercial mechanical projects. Purchasing Agents represent our organization to our customers, vendors, other contractors, our employees, and our community in a professional manner. They are effective communicators who negotiate purchase agreements to our best long-term advantage, and are expected to support multiple projects at once.

Purchasing Agent Functions:

Design

·        Support the Estimating and Engineering Departments in selecting the best fixtures, material, and equipment for projects.

·        Recommend methods of delivery and organization that yield the best overall installation.

Financial

·        Negotiate general pricing levels and project specific agreements.

·        Obtain competitive pricing.

Field

·        Work daily with Field Foremen and Project Managers to procure and assure on-time delivery of equipment and materials as required on jobsites.

Records

·        Obtain/record current market value pricing and trends.

Qualifications

The preferred candidate will possess excellent oral and written communication skills, and outstanding customer service and leadership skills. They will respond timely to purchasing requests, understanding that their efforts impact the efficiency of our installation crew. They will have a sense of responsibility and ownership for each project and for the overall success of the company. Working knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, and Excel are required; experience with Spectrum Accounting Software a plus.

Education/ Work Experience

Five years of mechanical purchasing experience in the field, comparable mechanical contractor or supplier preferred
